A strategic marketer, project manager, and copywriter, with extensive experience of all elements of the marketing mix, Marie has worked as a marketing and PR consultant in the public and voluntary sectors, as well as having considerable experience in the business-to-business arena. Her consultancy has encompassed a large number of freelance projects, interim marketing manager roles, as well as work as a senior consultant with two specialist SME marketing and design agencies. She has also worked on client-side for London Weekend International, and housing association Threshold Tennant Trust.
Marie's current workload is typical of a 'portfolio career', encompassing copywriting, consultancy, and interim marketing management, as well as teaching. In addition, she is a founding partner of two businesses. Musicademy is a contemporary music college and teaching-DVD production business. Drum Dynamics is a company bringing the concept of the African drum circle to the workplace, as a team-building and staff-development tool. Clients have included Disney and T-Mobile.
Having gained a PGCE to further develop the breadth of her career, Marie also teaches business and marketing modules at various colleges, and works as course leader for intensive revision courses at the Student Support Group, affiliated to Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). Marie is a Chartered Marketer and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
